The importance of providing students opportunities to participate in activities at school, outside the classroom, has been well documented by educational research. Through participation in extra-curricular activities students can become more connected to their school community, increase their self-esteem, raise their status among their peer group, and this has also been connected to increased academic success. At St. James & St. Ann’s School we believe this research to be true, and provide a variety of extra-curricular activities for students to participate in ranging from the fine arts, to sports, to interest-based clubs. There truly is something for everyone to participate in!
