Thunder News Flash – December 2, 2023

Thank you to the many families who have already signed up to bring a gift item or food item as part of our Christmas Giving Tree.  The link to the electronic sign up was emailed to parents last week.  Our campaign will run until December 15th.  Using the same process as when we have parents sign up for conferences, you will simply select the item you would like to purchase, and if you want to select another item you simply have to add another item.  Once you have purchased your item(s), your child may bring them to the school in the morning and place them in the collection bins outside of the Library, and your child will be given an ornament to place on the Christmas tree.  Any gift cards that are purchased should be brought directly to the office by your child. 

We have 2 sets of 2 FRONT ROW tickets up for grabs to our upcoming Christmas Musical.  The lucky winners can choose from the 1pm Matinee or the 7pm Evening Performance on December 21st.  It is easy to enter!  Just LIKE, FOLLOW us AND COMMENT on our upcoming posts on Facebook and / or Instagram (accessible on the bottom of our website) during the week of December 11-19.  We will announce the winners on our social media on December 20.  Good luck!

Thank you everyone for supporting our Shopfunds Gift Cards Fundraiser! We had over $26,000 in orders!!! By just buying gift cards at face value, you have helped raise $1,156.65 for St. James & St. Ann’s School!  Your gift cards will be ready for pick-up sometime the week of Dec 4-8.  We will send out an email to notify you of an exact date as soon as we have that information. 

We are excited to offer a special performance of the Christmas Musical this year for the Seniors of our 4 parishes and grandparents of the students in the school.  We will be offering a light lunch at 12:00 PM, followed by a performance of our Musical at 1pm.  We are looking forward to welcoming our treasured seniors from our community to help us celebrate the Advent season.  This special lunch and performance is open to SENIORS ONLY.  Please RSVP by calling the school office at 604-852-1788 or email the office at office@stjameselementary.ca by December 8th.  No late RSVP’s will be accepted as we will be ordering the food based on the RSVP numbers.  Doors open at 11:45 AM.
