The Confirmation Mass for the Grade 7 students will take place on Monday, May 27th at 7pm at St. James. Thank you in advance to all of the parents who have worked so hard throughout the years to help get their children ready for this special Sacrament, and to Mrs. Dos Santos and Mrs. Wakely for preparing the students so well this school year.  We wish our Grade 7 students all of God’s blessings. We are pairing up with St. Mary’s Chilliwack Catholic School to offer a screening of Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age for parents from both of our Valley communities.

A special screening of this film will take place at the St. Mary’s Chilliwack School Gym (8909 Mary St, Chilliwack) and will start at 7pm on Tuesday, May 28th.  Please check out the website for more information at: www.screenagersmovie.com.  We hope you can join us!

ABOUT SCREENAGERS

An award-winning film that probes into the vulnerable corners of family life and depicts messy struggles over social media, video games and academics. The film offers solutions on how we can help our kids navigate the digital world.

Our Zumbathon Prize Rally will be held on Thursday, May 30. We are working hard to finalize our total raised and to ensure all students get the number of raffle tickets they earned to use at our prize raffle.

Next week, students will receive a bag of all the prize raffle tickets they earned and their teacher will take them to the gym to put the raffle tickets into the Raffle Prize Draws of the student’s choice(s). We will draw the winners later that day at the Prize Assembly. As well, the Top Primary Student, Top Intermediate Student and the winner of the $100 Boston Pizza Gift Card and Basketball Hoop will be drawn.

Our next early dismissal day for our monthly staff meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 5th.  As always, the students should bring a snack and lunch to school that day, and they will be dismissed at 12:55pm.

The CWL at St. Ann’s is hosting 2 exciting events for women in our community.  There will be a Women’s Retreat on May 25th and a Fashion Show on June 1st.  Details below:

Women’s Retreat 2024

Come join us on Saturday, June 1^st at Mill Lake Park in Abbotsford (Bevan Rd Entrance) for our annual event – Walk for Life!  Walk for Life is a family-friendly event and peer-to-peer fundraiser that supports the work of Advokate Life & Education Services Society.  The Event is: 12:30 pm – 4:00 pm.

We are in NEED of volunteers to help with Set-up and Take-Down!  If you and your family could spare some time helping – please join us at the park for Set-Up (8am and 12pm), and/or Take-Down from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.
