Upcoming June Events
It is hard to believe that we are now in the final month of the school year. As always, June is a very busy month with many activities and events planned. Here is some information to help you plan:
Early Dismissal Day – Wednesday, June 5th:
- Our next early dismissal day for our monthly staff meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 5th. As always, the students should bring a snack and lunch to school that day, and they will be dismissed at 12:55pm
June 6th – Entrepreneur Fair
Spirit Week – June 10 -14th
The Grade 7 Leadership Team has come up with some great ideas for the week of Sports Day. Here is what that week of DRESS DOWN looks like (remember to keep outfits appropriate):
- Monday, June10th – FREE DAY – come to school dressed in anything you like
- Tuesday, June 11th – Cozy / PJ Day – wear your favourite PJ’s or comfy / cozy clothes
- Wednesday, June 12th – Wacky Wednesday – come to school in your wackiest outfit or wacky hair and accessories
- Thursday, June 13th – Sports / jersey day – wear something representing your favourite team or sport
- Friday, June 14th – Tropical / beach wear with appropriate footwear for Sports Day
Sports Day – Friday, June 14th:
- The students will be participating in many fun stations run by our Grade 7 students.
- Our theme this year is a “Beach Theme”
- Students can come to school dressed in summer clothing. Please remember to encourage your children to dress modestly.
- Please remember to send your child to school on June 14th with footwear that will allow them to be active. Please also ensure that they have a water bottle to stay hydrated. Also, send a hat and sunscreen if it is sunny.
- The students will be provided with a freezie at the rest station, as well as a hotdog lunch at the end.
- Please note that the students will be dismissed at 12PM, and parents and siblings are welcome to come and cheer on the competitors!
Planning Day – Monday, June 17th:
- There will be no school for the students on Monday, June 17th, as the staff gathers to plan for the 2024-2025 school year

Work Bee - June 8th
The next Work Bee will take place at the school on Saturday, June 8th from 9:00am to 2:00pm. This is a great way to earn five hours towards your Parent Participation commitment. Hopefully the weather will be good, so please bring gloves for both indoor and outdoor work, as well as any small cordless garden tools that you have. We are very grateful for all of your hard work around the school.
