Thunder News Flash – March 30, 2024

Our biggest fundraiser of the year, Zumbathon 2024, is coming up on Friday, April 26!  Information packages, including pledge sheets and envelopes were sent home to each family before Spring Break.  This year will be the start of a 3 year initiative to raise money for new playground equipment for our school. 

2 Ways to Collect Pledges:

•         IN PERSON using the pledge sheet & envelope provided (cash or cheque accepted and tax receipts are issued for donations of $25 or more)
•         ONLINE at https://www.stjameselementary.ca/zumbathon/ (Visa, Mastercard and Amex accepted online and tax receipts are issued for donations of $25 or more) *Be sure to have them include the student’s name and grade in the notes of their donation.

We will have some great prizes that can be won, which will be announced in the coming month.  If you would like to donate a prize, please contact Brandy Harris at catsyte@hotmail.com.  Thank you for your consideration! 

Together we can raise $25,000!

The next Work Bee will take place at the school on Saturday, April 6th from 9:00am – 2:00pm. This is a great way for parents to accumulate 5 hours towards their Parent Participation commitment.  Please bring gloves as well as any small, cordless gardening tools you are able to bring.  Your work around the school, both inside and outside, is much appreciated.

Our next early dismissal day for our monthly staff meeting will take place on Wednesday, April 3rd.  As always, the students should bring a snack and lunch to school that day, and they will be dismissed at 12:55pm.

Please be reminded that the $50 Registration Fee for next year will be coming out on March 31st.
