AGM: Beans & JeansOn behalf of the St. James & St. Ann’s School Regional Education Committee, we are pleased to invite you to our Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will be held on; Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 6:30 PM in the school gymnasium. Come dressed in your jeans and enjoy a bowl of homemade chili as we connect as a school community.
This meeting is mandatory, with at least one family member expected to attend.We encourage you to join us for an informative evening where we will:- Provide updates on school initiatives and upcoming events
- Review financial reports and school developments
- Distribute 2024 Family Tax Receipts

Canada - Flag Day
National Flag of Canada Day, commonly shortened to Flag Day, is observed annually on February 15 to commemorate the inauguration of the flag of Canada on that date in 1965. With its bold red and white colours and striking maple leaf, the flag embodies Canada’s national identity, history, and values. The day marks a moment to celebrate what it means to live, work and play in Canada, let’s rally together around our national flag to promote our sense of pride and unity.At St. James and St. Ann’s we have begun a new tradition of singing our National Anthem at both at Hymn Sing and once each week during our morning announcements. Join us for a magical evening as we watch FernGully: The Last Rainforest on our big 16 x 9 screen! Expect plenty of snacks, popcorn, and fun. It’s the perfect way to relax and enjoy a movie night with our amazing school community!

Community Coffee
Come join us for Community Coffee – Friday, February 21st!
We are thrilled to offer our community coffee mornings twice each month. Right after school drop off, you are invited to join us in the gymnasium to meet other Thunder families for a morning of coffee and treats. This wonderful community building opportunity, allows families to come into the school and connect with other families. Younger siblings and family members are welcome.Our dates for the remainder of 2025 are March 7 & 14, and April 4 & 11.We hope to see you there!
