Open House - This Wednesday, Jan. 22!
St. James and St. Ann’s OPEN HOUSE – January 22, 2025. Extend the Invitation!
We are delighted to invite you to participate in our Open House! St. James and St. Ann’s school is a wonderful and robust community! We can’t say enough about how proud we are of this school and of its various accomplishments! We have a brilliant educational staff who work hard to support our students. We have a supportive parent community and we absolutely have the best students. They are committed, driven, happy, hard-working, energetic and motivated! Together, we work to build the Kingdom of God! The night will begin in the library with light refreshments and an opportunity to chat with our school administrators, Mr. Bittante and Ms. Lewis. Our Grade 7 ambassadors will then offer guided tours of our wonderful school, with each class sharing highlights of student learning. It will be a lovely opportunity to learn more about our school and to invite new families to join a caring Catholic community. Thunder Community Night at the Abbotsford Canucks
The Thunder Community at St. James and St. Ann’s School is once again hosting a School Spirit Night at an upcoming Abbotsford Canucks Home Game. Everyone is invited to join us Friday, January 31st at Abbotsford Centre as our Abbotsford Canucks face off to the Calgary Wranglers. Tickets are only $28 each and there are chances of winning prizes as well! EVERYONE is welcome, so invite your friends, your family and your neighbours! We are expecting a FUN night out and would love to fill the stands with people from our faith community. These tickets would make great gift to celebrate the new year, so get your tickets today! Endow Women's Study Group
Endow Women’s Study GroupAll women are invited to join us for an 8-session Endow study on Saint John Paul II’s Apostolic Letter, On the Christian Meaning of Suffering. This study explores the question of why God allows suffering, and will help us to ponder its meaning in our own lives. We will meet for eight Wednesdays from January 22nd to May 14th, from 12:30-2:30 p.m. in the St. James Church meeting room. Cost is $30 for a digital copy or $60 for a hard copy. Parking
Staff Parking Lot
Please do not park in or block the staff parking lot, especially in the morning and/or afterschool. We appreciate that our parking lots are busy places in the morning and at the end of the school day. However, we would appreciate if parents could avoid the staff parking lot. We have limited spaces for the staff in our small staff lot. Staff need to be able to access the lot easily, especially when they arrive in the morning. There is ample room for parents in the parent parking lot or in the larger paved parking lot adjacent to SJB. Thank You!
