Communicating Student Learning
Communicating Student Learning is a term to describe reporting and report cards for BC students. CSL addresses the need for ongoing communication of student learning and for students to be deeply involved in their own learning journey. Parent will receive report cards on Tuesday, November 19. We encourage parents to discuss the reports with their children, celebrate their successes and talk about ways to support ongoing learning at home and at school.
On Thursday, November 21, we will be having Parent Teacher Conferences. As parents of elementary school children, you play a crucial role in your child’s education. Your involvement and collaboration with your child’s teacher(s) can make a significant difference in their academic and personal growth. One of the key benefits of parent-teacher conferences is the chance to address any concerns or questions you may have about your child’s education. Teachers are here to listen, provide guidance, and collaborate with you to find solutions. Whether it’s a struggling subject, behavioral issues, or any other matter, early intervention can make a significant difference in your child’s success!
An email has already been sent home to sign up online for Parent -Teacher Conferences. The conferences will be 12 minutes in length, with a short transition time between meetings for parents of multiple children. If you have not yet signed up for a conference time, please follow the link below. This will be a non-instructional day for students. Please note that Friday, November 22 is also non-instructional day.

Clothing Check
Thank you to all parents who are working with their children to ensure that our School Uniform is worn properly and with pride. As all uniforms look alike, it is important to label your child’s clothing. It is also helpful to check your child’s clothing on a regular basis to ensure sure they have the correct items. For example, some children mistakenly bring home the wrong item after a gym class. We would appreciate if you could check your child’s uniform and return any items that might have been brought home by mistake to your child’s classroom or the lost and found. If you are missing an item – please check the lost and found this week. We will be donating anything left in lost an found at the end of the week. Thank You
