NATIONAL DAY FOR TRUTH & RECONCILIATION

Reminder: there is NO SCHOOL – Monday, September 30th

We encourage families to spend some time learning about Truth and Reconciliation in age-appropriate ways.  There are great story books and resources recommended by our local parishes, schools and from the CISVA to help students learn about how every child matters.

Our hot lunch ordering system, Munch a Lunch, is OPEN! We are accepting orders for October hot lunch dates. Ordering closes September 29th. Orders will not be accepted after this date due to ordering timelines with vendors. The first Hot Lunch day will be October 1st.

If you have an existing account please log in and update your account (ie; student information/Grades) prior to ordering.  If you are a new family to our school, please create an account by clicking the link below:

1. Click the “Register Here” button (as shown below).
2. The system will guide you through After adding your children, click the green “Order Lunch!” button to order.
3. Next time, just click the “Login Here” button to access your account.

NOTE: Payments will be made by Electronic Funds Direct Debit from your account on the 15th of each month. You will see a “pay now” option at the end of the ordering process, please click pay now to submit your order but please do not submit a cheque. Payments will be deducted, and account balances will be updated on the 15th.

COMMUNITY COFFEE – Volunteer Needed.       

We are still looking for a volunteer to help coordinate the Community Coffee mornings. This event is a chance for Thunder families to gather twice a month over coffee and treats and build a strong parent community. If you are interested in the following position, please email Tasha at

Community Coffee Coordinator: One person who oversees the bi-weekly community coffee event every second Friday from 8:30am to 9:15am. You will be the liaison with the office to schedule dates and liaison with the community rep to ensure that it is advertised. You would arrive a few minutes early to make coffee, set out treats, and some select toys and/or colouring sheets for younger siblings. You will ensure that everything is cleaned up, and the gym is left for school-use condition following the event.

We look forward to this event as an opportunity for our community to come together. Please keep an eye on the school calendar for upcoming dates and time.

• Thursday, October 3rd- 2:40 – 4:00pm – Grade 4/5

Volleyball

• Tuesday, October 1st – 7:45-8:20am. – Grade 6/7 Boys
• Tuesday, October 1st – 2:40 – 4:00pm. – Grade 6/7 Girls
• Thursday, October 3rd- 2:40 – 4:00pm – Grade 6/7 Boys

Just a reminder that an Early Dismissal Day is schedule for this coming Wednesday, October 2.  Students will be dismissed at 12:55.
